‘Happy Town’ Press Release
Unfortunately, Amy wasn’t in last week’s episode of Dollhouse, but she’ll definitely be in this week’s episode! An extended synopsis for Happy Town has been released, details are below. In other news, stay tuned for some rare scans.
For the past seven years Haplin, Minnesota’s lived up to its nickname, Happy Town. Even the air is sweet with the smell of bread from the industrial bakery. Unfortunately, everything is about to change.
Seven years ago, an unknown psycho, nick-named “The Magic Man” kidnapped seven children before Sheriff Griffin Conroy chased him away. But the discovery of a local’s gruesome murder and the disappearance of a new child have everyone whispering the Magic Man is back. Now, Mayor Haplin has ordered Deputy Tommy Conroy to replace his father as Sheriff – whether he wants the job, or not. Tommy knows better than to cross the town royalty, whose bakery employs half the town, including his wife. As Tommy begins investigating, his friends and neighbors become suspects and the quiet small town life he’s always cherished begins to sour. But Tommy’s not the only one investigating Haplin. A mysterious young woman has just arrived in town, and she’s quietly searching for answers about her family’s history with the residents of Happy Town.
From the executive producers of October Road and Life on Mars, comes the enthralling new drama, Happy Town. In the sleepy little hamlet of Haplin, Minnesota, not all secrets have been put to rest. (Two Hour Pilot)

‘Happy Town’ Snippet
An interview with Josh Appelbaum & Scott Rosenberg at TVGuide.com about Life on Mars led to a little snippet about Happy Town, and finally gives us an idea of what to expect! The extract is posted below.
TVGuide.com: What’s next for you two?
Appelbaum: We’re doing a [pilot] called Happy Town, for ABC [and revolving around a small town rocked by a horrific crime].
Rosenberg: It’s got a really cool ensemble [including Jay Paulson, Amy Acker, Dean Winters and Robert Wisdom]. We’re all huge fans of Twin Peaks and the Stephen King novels, and hopefully we can create a world worthy of those reference points. There hasn’t been a straight-out scary show on TV in years, and hopefully this will deliver.

Waterkeeper Alliance Online Auction
Huge thanks to Karen Lehner for letting me know about this wonderful charity that both Amy & James support; details are below.
I was hoping you might be able to help spread the word that Amy has donated her personal script from Dollhouse — the pilot script, Ghosts; view auction, which has also been signed by Amy & Joss Whedon — to the Waterkeeper Alliance online auction through charitybuzz. The auction goes up April 14-30.
You’ll also see that James Carpinello has donated 2 house seats to his show, Rock of Ages with an aftershow meet and greet with the cast AND drinks with him and Amy after the show; view auction.
Amy and James have been great supporters of Waterkeeper Alliance. I just wanted to share the great things they have donated for the cause of clean water around the world.

‘Dollhouse’ DVD News & Season Finale
Thanks to Dollverse for the info:
The press release for episode 12 of Dollhouse, titled ‘Omega’, says that it’s the season finale — FOX has decided not to air episode 13 after all — but it will be available on the season 1 DVD, which will be released sometime after Comic-Con in San Diego (end of July.)
And finally, FOX are still deciding whether to renew Dollhouse or not, though there have been rumours of a second season being confirmed.
Bittersweet news. However, I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
