Richard Lalonde posted on his Twitter that he got the chance to speak to Drew Goddard & Joss Whedon at the Cabin in the Woods wrap party on May 24 — hopefully this means official confirmation over Amy’s possible role will be released soon! I’m also looking forward to the promotion starting up.

I decided to carry on scanning after all, thus I’ve added another batch of scans to the gallery — this time from 2004 — these interviews about season 5 are making me nostalgic, therefore don’t be surprised if you find season 5 screencaps added to the gallery during the week. Cider & gossi at Whedonesque have posted comments regarding Amy’s possible involvement in Cabin in the Woods and her cancelled appearance at Starfury’s T1 convention back in April. The extracts are posted below — I, for one, hope this is true as it would be lovely to see Amy on the big screen again; her last appearance was in Catch Me If You Can.

Curious! I wonder if this is true? Hope so. The character is called Wendy Lin and is a “nervous woman in a lab coat”. -gossi

Amy Acker was due to attend the Starfury T1 convention last month but had to cancel due to being cast in a film. She sent a message to the organiser in which she said, that she couldn’t say what film it was but that people would be ‘excited’ about it.

Unfortunately the message has been taken down now so I can’t quote it exactly, but I did wonder at the time if it could be Cabin. -Cider

At last! The first season of Dollhouse is now available for pre-order from Amazon.co.uk on region 2 — I’ve pre-ordered my copy!

Unfortunately, the release date isn’t until September 14, 2009 (and has already been put back once, according to Amazon’s email about the dispatch date) but it is available to buy at £17.98 — DVD extras should be the same, if not similar, to the region 1 release.

Pilot Inspektor at Televisionary has posted an advance review of the Happy Town pilot; an extract featuring Amy is posted below — I’m hoping the show will feature more of Amy in future episodes.

The effect is to create the feeling of community that such a small town would have but it means that several characters are given short shrift. Amy Acker in particular seems to have precious little to do and it’s a shame to see her squander her considerable ability playing a one-dimensional bread factory tour guide and wife and mother here. (A single brief look between her and Dean Winters’ character is the sole storyline her character warrants here.)

Another project to look forward to?

IMDB has Amy listed as a rumoured cast member, playing the part of Lin. As you may know, this is the Drew Goddard/Joss Whedon horror film and already stars Fran Kranz who plays Topher in Dollhouse.

It’s an interesting rumour but only time will tell if it’s true or not!
