A little fun piece; the news broke several days ago that Joss Whedon has been hired by Marvel to direct and rewrite a script for The Avengers, and naturally, several people (including Scott Rosenberg; his tweet is posted below) have been placing bets on the cast — with an emphasis on the Whedonverse actors — including Amy Acker (or Summer Glau) for the role of The Wasp.

Obviously, if developments arise I’ll be following this project more closely, but for now, I thought it’d be fun to mention!

Be sure to tune in tonight for Amy’s guest spot on the season finale of Human Target, which will be airing at 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT on FOX.
