Thanks to the MySpace page of Amy’s co-star, Kristyn Green, I’ve added over 030 images to the gallery from behind the scenes of 21 And a Wake Up — Amy looks lovely and the shots give us further insight into what the movie may be like; personally, I think it looks good. Gallery link and previews are below, enjoy! :)

Apparently there was a showing of 21 And a Wake-Up on January 4 in Bellingham; I would have posted about this sooner but I had to do some digging to find the original article — thanks to Lisa for the heads up!

The article is also reporting that, “Director Chris McIntyre is using showings in Bellingham and other cities to perfect the movie before it opens in theaters across the country in February.”

I’ll be sure to keep you up to date on any additional news, although it may not be too much to hope for an official website if the movie will be getting a theatrical release. :)

Apologies for the delay in adding these but hey, better late than never. ;) You may have noticed that I added over 130 screencaptures to the gallery from the trailer of 21 and a Wake Up last month — they are terribly low quality but nothing else seems to have been released, unfortunately.

In addition to this, I’ve finally added the clip to the video vault as well as an on set image to the gallery — huge thanks to CNEIL for allowing me to repost the image. :) Click on the link for his story on being an extra; only a short extract relating to Amy can be found but all in all it’s a lovely read. Media links and previews are below, enjoy! :)

A very quick post for today; the trailer for 21 and a Wake Up has been released and is available to view on YouTube — check back soon for the clip & caps!

In other news, it was Amy’s birthday on December 5 (she turned 32) and I’d like to take the time to wish her a belated happy birthday; I hope she had a good day. :)

Thanks to Bad Fred for bringing this to my attention; Amy has a new movie listed on her IMDB resume titled 21 and a Wake-Up and playing the character of Caitlin Murphy. It is currently filming and while there is no official confirmation that Amy has been cast, I was able to find a synopsis of what the film is about — and it sounds very interesting!

Film to explore one week of war

Chris T. McIntyre, an American independent film director and producer, is shooting the Rex Hotel in the centre of HCM City for a new movie entitled 21 and a Wake-up..

The film is the first American film about the Second Indochina War to be shot on the locations where the real events took place.

It’s budget is US$3 million.

21 and a Wake-up follows the lives of a dozen soldiers, doctors, nurses and journalists through a single week in 1971 as America’s commitment to the Indochina War waned and resources were held back.

At one point, the movie re-enacts the notorious Sai Gon press briefings held at the Rex, dubbed the Five O’clock Follies on account of the questionable spin on information given to the international press.

The film claims no sides in its politics, and only seeks to portray a unique historical moment in Vietnamese and American history.

McIntyre expects a December 2008 release for the film stateside and a spring release in Viet Nam.
