Several videos have popped up on YouTube [Access Reel; Capsule Computers] covering interviews that Amy took part in while attending the recent Supernova convention in both Sydney & Perth, Australia. Thus, I’ve added MQ screencaptures to the gallery, as well as fan pictures taken by jackdoc101 & Marcel — many thanks for letting me add the images!

I also came across a radio interview [Nerdzilla podcast episode 19] by Joel Rheinberger and Andrew Hogan, which you can listen to at ABC Hobart — enjoy this media related update; gallery links & previews are below. :)

The Sunday Morning Herald has an article about this year’s Supernova – Pop Culture Expo convention in Sydney, Australia — which mostly features an interview with Amy’s Angel co-star, James Marsters — and has revealed that Amy is also attending the convention; extract posted below. :)

Tom Felton, from the Harry Potter movie series, will be there, while Marsters’s stablemate from the Buffy spin-off show Angel, Amy Acker, is coming down, as is conference newcomer Julie White, who plays Judy Witwicky in the Transformers movie series.

The official website further confirms this and also mentions that Amy will be attending both the Perth & Sydney events!

Amy looks forward to meeting all her fans at both the Sydney and Perth events in 2011. There are signing and photo sessions throughout each Saturday (10.30am to 5.30pm) and Sunday (11am to 5pm) excluding breaks. Amy is conducting a general admission Q&A each Saturday and an exclusive Whedonverse Q&A each Sunday (Whedonverse & VIP Passes only).

Amy posted on her official Twitter a few days ago to let us know that she is currently filming a new movie in Calgary, Canada, for a few weeks titled Dear Santa — a Christmas comedy — and as a result, sadly isn’t able to attend the ‘Echo 2′ convention in the UK this week.

Amy also stated that she’s still waiting to hear if her new series, Common Law, has been picked up.

Exciting news! Looks like we may have some new material coming our way soon. :)

EDIT: (April 28) According to IMDB, Amy’s character is called Crystal & the movie has an expected USA release date of December 1, 2011.

Just a friendly reminder about the upcoming Starfury convention titled ‘Echo-2′ for fans of Dollhouse which is taking place on April 1-3 in Heathrow, England, where Amy is still scheduled to attend — along with Olivia Williams, Fran Kranz, Liza Lapira and Dichen Lachman — such an exciting line-up, it’s a shame I won’t be able to make it!

Further details can be found on the Starfury website. If anyone would like to send in pictures featuring Amy at this convention, it would be greatly appreciated; you would, of course, be credited. Thanks! :)

A small news round up!

First up, it looks like that upcoming movie The Cabin in the Woods has been pushed back indefinitely — it won’t be released on the planned date of January 14, 2011 after all — according to ComingSoon.net.

Good news UK fans, it looks like the Region 2 DVD release of the second season of Dollhouse has an extra feature; an easter egg! There’s plenty of speculation regarding this, but no one knows what it features, except the runtime of 1 min 40 secs, as stated by the BBFC. However, I’ll try to find out when I get my copy next month. :)

And finally, the Whedon Fest convention that was due to take place next month — the first of its kind in Toronto, Canada — has sadly been cancelled due to low ticket sales. You can read more about this over at Starry Night Events.
