I may have gone a little cap crazy, but I’ve added over 1,400 screencaptures to the gallery from Fire and Ice — this now brings the gallery count up to over 11,000 images and is currently the largest Amy Acker gallery online :D — I shall be working on clips sometime this week. ;) Gallery link and previews are below, enjoy! :)

Fire and Ice premiered in Romania on January 2, and as a result, the official website has had a makeover, complete with updated information on the film and a wonderful gallery of production stills and behind the scenes images. I’ve added the Amy related images to the gallery; over 050 in all — there are some truly gorgeous shots of Amy! Gallery links and previews are below, enjoy! :)

With regards to the film title, it seems it is only being called Fire and Ice: The Dragon Chronicles in Romania, elsewhere, it is still being known as Fire and Ice. The official website also has a book and video game based on the film which is available to buy, for anyone who’s interested. ;)

Amy Acker, who stars in SCI FI Channel’s upcoming original movie Fire and Ice, told SCI FI Wire that she got to realize a dream.

“I have always wanted to do any sort of period piece,” the Alias and Angel star said in an interview. “I love horseback riding. I got to be a tomboy princess and fight dragons.”

Helmed by visual-effects-supervisor-turned-director Pitof (Catwoman), Fire and Ice stars Acker as Luisa, a daddy’s-girl princess who must team up with a knight named Gabriel (300′s Tom Wisdom) to save their kingdom from a menacing fire-breathing dragon.

Joining Acker–who’s due next in Joss Whedon’s upcoming Fox SF series Dollhouse–are such familiar genre faces as Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) and John Rhys-Davies (the Lord of the Rings trilogy).

“I couldn’t really think of anything bad about it,” Acker said. “It was great, and there were good people involved and a lot of British accents. It was fun to be the only girl with this group of guys and fighting along with them and doing all of that. I hope I get to work with all of them again. Maybe they can make it into a series!”

Acker added that she welcomed the change from series television. “It was [also] a chance to do something totally different from your normal television show,” she said. “The only thing that wasn’t real was the dragon, but luckily they had already drawn up what he was going to look like. I haven’t seen it finished, but [from] the pictures and early CG stuff they were doing it was this really cool dragon that looked different from any other dragon I’d ever seen. But it was easy to imagine it huge.”

The official website has posted a new version of the Fire and Ice trailer; while it contains nothing new in regards to Amy’s scenes, it is in widescreen format, and therefore better quality than previous versions. :) I’ve added the captures & video to the respective media archives; links and previews are below, enjoy!

The official Sci Fi website — peep the gorgeous artwork! — has posted the air date for Fire and Ice; it will air on Saturday, October 18 at 9/8C on the Sci Fi Channel (US fans only.) I shall try to find an air date for non US countries.

I would also appreciate it if anyone could record the movie so I can provide fans with screencaptures & clips, thanks in advance. :)

In other news, Amy is featured inside the official magazine and I can confirm that it also features the first still of Amy as Dr. Claire Saunders in the upcoming Dollhouse! I have the magazine, thanks to Brian Murphy for sending it out to me, so expect scans to be added soon.

As previously reported, upcoming film Fire & Ice, has been renamed to Fire and Ice: The Dragon Chronicles and this new trailer reflects that name change — the official website has also been updated.

This new trailer features extended scenes and brand new scenes with Amy. :) I have made some MQ screencaptures and uploaded the clip to the media archive; I highly recommend checking out the clip first as it was difficult to catch all of Amy’s scenes while capping. Previews and links are below, enjoy!
