A little fun piece; the news broke several days ago that Joss Whedon has been hired by Marvel to direct and rewrite a script for The Avengers, and naturally, several people (including Scott Rosenberg; his tweet is posted below) have been placing bets on the cast — with an emphasis on the Whedonverse actors — including Amy Acker (or Summer Glau) for the role of The Wasp.
Obviously, if developments arise I’ll be following this project more closely, but for now, I thought it’d be fun to mention! |
A small piece of news — Amy has been nominated for ‘Best Female Guest Star’ for her work on Dollhouse in the ‘My TV Awards’ and is up against Sharon Lawrence (Grey’s Anatomy), Kristen Bell (Party Down), Christine Baranski (Big Bang Theory), Lucy Hale (Private Practice) and Joanne Vannicola (Being Erica). Amy has responded to the nomination, which is posted below.

Happy new year, everyone! It’s been a great year for Amy and us fans alike with her roles in 21 and a Wake-Up and Dollhouse, despite the cancellation, and we have plenty more to look forward to in 2010 with Amy’s role in Happy Town, which I can assure you I shall be covering every step of the way! I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, the fans, for visiting — it’s much appreciated — and I love working on this site. |
Just a small post to wish Miss Acker a wonderful birthday today, she turns 33. Here’s hoping she had a good day surrounded by family & friends. Feel free to leave your birthday wishes in the comments section. |
I came across a fairly recent Q&A with Amy’s husband, James Carpinello — who, as you may know, is currently starring in the Broadway play, Rock of Ages — and towards the end, the questions touch on Amy and how they met; a few extracts are posted below. It’s a lovely read and I highly recommend reading the Q&A in full.

A very quick post for today; the trailer for 21 and a Wake Up has been released and is available to view on YouTube — check back soon for the clip & caps! In other news, it was Amy’s birthday on December 5 (she turned 32) and I’d like to take the time to wish her a belated happy birthday; I hope she had a good day. |
I’m sure most of you noticed that the site has been in ‘maintenance mode’ for several days, but I was busy working behind the scenes — the content has been completely updated and expanded upon i.e. most, if not all, of the pages you come across, so there’s plenty to see! Although I did get a little impatient, so I’ve launched the new layout before the filmographpy section has been completed, but rest assured that shall be completely finished by next week. I have to give huge thanks to Mycah for designing the layout once again, and I’m completely in love with it; perfect for the upcoming ‘season’ of news & images, don’t you think? And finally, a small piece of trivia:
