Just a friendly reminder that The Good Wife shall be airing tonight on CBS at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT — although be sure to check your local listings for the times. As you may know, both Amy and her husband, James Carpinello, are guest starring on the season finale as unrelated characters; exciting!

Screencaptures shall be added shortly after the episode has aired. :)

Last project update of the day. ;)

First off, there’s an article in the press library that you may or may not have read which explains how Amy got involved with The Cabin in the Woods in the first place;

They hadn’t found someone for a part and it was a couple of weeks before they started shooting and so [Joss] called and said, “So we can’t find someone for this part and we start in a few weeks and can you do it?” And I’m like, “Hey. Anytime you can’t find anyone I’m available!” [Laughs.]

And secondly, you may have read the news where Amy confirmed that The Cabin in the Woods is a creature feature i.e. it does contain monsters, but there’s also another interview at SCI FI Wire with Amy’s Dollhouse co-star, Fran Kranz, that offers a little more detail on Amy’s role without giving too much away. It certainly sounds like a movie not to be missed! :)

Kranz—who, like Acker, starred in Whedon’s Dollhouse—added that The Cabin in the Woods has two different components: There are the kids in the cabin, but also a group of adults (Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford and Acker) in a separate subplot.

“It was like two totally different movies,” Kranz said. “The way it was shot or just the scheduling of the filming, I was sort of around. There was about a couple months with all the kids, and then there was about a month or so with the adults. I had a little extra to do, so I was in Vancouver while they were doing that. If you went on set, it was like a totally different movie. It had a whole different feel to it.”

Just a heads up that the official website for Sironia is now online, although at the moment, it only contains a lovely poster — which I’ve since added to the gallery.

I’ve also added the behind-the-scenes photo that Amy posted on her official Twitter — where, coincidentally, Amy confirms that she was staying in Waco, Texas, with her latest tweet. :) A preview is to your right & the gallery links are below, enjoy!

Many thanks to the director, Chris McIntyre, for confirming some exciting news regarding 21 and a Wake-Up — the movie shall be making it’s way to Region 1 DVD on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 25, 2010) and until then will only be showing in theatres. The latest area to show the movie is Chicago — with upcoming areas including Washington, DC & San Jose, CA — so be sure to check your local listings for the area if you’re interested in seeing Amy on the big screen again!

I’ll also be sure to keep you updated on the DVD specifications. In the meanwhile, I’ve added a brand new one sheet for the film to the gallery. A preview is to your right & the gallery link is below, enjoy! :)

A search has thrown up a few articles regarding this new movie — it is an indie film written & directed by Brandon Dickerson with Robyn Lively and Tony Hale as the leads, as confirmed by THR. This suggests that Amy has a small(ish) role in this movie, but exciting nevertheless!

There’s also an interesting article from a local paper, Wacotrib.com which offers some back story on the film and states that filming shall move to Los Angeles from May 19; the full article is under the cut.

Exciting news! It looks like Amy may be currently filming a new project — I did wonder since Amy has posted on her official Twitter that she’s in Texas (from April 30) as well as a lovely pic with Tony Hale & the tweet regarding a night shoot.

Also, IMDB has the project listed on Amy’s resume, albeit rumoured, and offers the following synopsis:

A singer-songwriter beat up by the L.A. music machine who moves with his wife to Sironia, Texas.

So, for now, I shall add this project to the sidebar & hopefully we’ll have further confirmation and/or information regarding this project later on. :)
