I’ve added over 050 MQ screencaptures from the premiere episode of Dollhouse to the gallery — Amy was only in a handful of scenes, 3 to be exact, but still manages to show us that she is playing a completely different character to the ones we know her for; Amy is truly mesmerising in this role! Gallery link and previews are below, enjoy. :)

Hope everyone managed to catch the premiere of Dollhouse last night, but if you didn’t manage to watch/record Dollhouse, you can also view the episodes online at FOX as well as Dollverse where you will be counted as an official viewer. This does apply to US residents only, however, if you download a nifty piece of software called Hotspot Shield, then non-US residents will be able to view the episodes as well; I shall be testing this theory out myself!

Feel free to leave a comment regarding the episode and Amy, but be careful not to include any spoilers, or head on over to the forum where you can discuss to your heart’s content. ;) Screencaptures shall be added in the next few days. :)

To celebrate the premiere of Dollhouse, both myself and Lisa have set up a forum for fans to join — you can discuss the episodes after they’ve aired, read about general news, show off your fan art, and more!

If you’re interested in joining, and you will need to be a member in order to view the board and make posts, then head on over to the forum and don’t hesitate to introduce yourself. :)

There’s another new interview online with Amy, this time courtesy of Los Angeles Times and it’s a lovely read, even offering a little more insight into Amy’s character. Happy reading! :)

Amy Acker is a favorite among Whedonites (followers of Joss Whedon) for her role as Fred Burkle and Illyria on “Angel,” and also co-starring in an influential arc on the show “Alias.” Joss woke up and “smelled the Acker” — he said it, not me! — and rewrote a character on his new venture “Dollhouse” for the actress. Doing one-episode stints on shows such as “Ghost Whisperer,” “Private Practice,” “Law and Order: Criminal Intent” and more, Acker was ready to fall back into the comfortable confines of Whedon witticisms, supported by a crew filled with familiar faces.

So, you are Dr. Saunders. What are your duties in the Dollhouse?
I’m there to take care of all the dolls. I seem to be the multi-purpose doctor, since I’m the only one there. I’ve done some stitches, some Band-Aids and some psychological counseling. It’s a fun job because I get to see everybody and do a little of everything. And I feel like I’m there to keep the morality of the Dollhouse in check.

How tough of a job is that with apparently shady characters like Olivia Williams’ Adele DeWitt?
Yeah, she seems a bit nasty sometimes. No, I think you never know what anyone’s objective is there: if they’re doing what they think is right or what the right thing really is. It’s hard to navigate what is right in this world.

How different is your character from Fred in ‘Angel’?
Whenever I’m doing scenes with Topher or Franz’s character, I think, “Hey, that’s like Fred.” He’s always thinking and just moving around. Dr. Saunders is totally direct and focused and always knows what she wants. It was a hard transition to not be the silly, eccentric one.

Here’s hoping the full cast, including Amy, will make an appearance at this upcoming event!

Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” and “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” are the latest additions to the Paley Center for Media’s upcoming Paleyfest ’09.

The full fest schedule will be disclosed Feb. 18. Several weeks ago, HBO’s vampire drama “True Blood” and Fox’s sci-fi drama “Fringe” were announced.

“Dollhouse,” about a woman who can have her brain downloaded to fit a specific mission, begins airing on Fox this Friday. “Dr. Horrible,” starring Neil Patrick Harris, was a 43-minute Internet sensation that launched in the summer.

The Paleyfest will take place April 10-23 at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood.

I have updated the video vault with 009 clips featuring Amy’s scenes from her guest appearance on Law & Order: Criminal Intent back in 2007 — this is definitely worth a look for Amy alone. :) Media link and previews are below, happy downloading!

FOX has released the official press release for episode 2, titled ‘The Target’, which will be airing on Friday, February 20. Details are under the cut as it contains minor spoilers but it looks to contain a few scenes with Amy!

Unfortunately there are no stills with Amy for this episode but view the additional images that I’ve added at Eliza Fan. :) Not long ’til the season premiere!
